Mary Ohler 1952-2025

She was born Nov. 3, 1952, in Youngstown, to William T. Hite Sr. and Mary Z. Hite.

She attended East High School.

Scooter truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. She loved chatting with family and friends, snacking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to cook, bake and play bingo. She also loved to do crafts, sit on her porch playing phone games, and her dance moves were spot-on, whether she was sitting or standing. Scooter was also a loud and proud Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

She leaves behind her two sons, William and Don Ohler; brothers, William T. “Buddy” Hite Jr. and Robert (Irene) Hite; sisters, Katherine “Corky” (Juan) Garcia and Robin Hite; lifelong partner, Robert Jiles; stepchildren, Koree Shubert, Traci Maderitz and Kristy Maderitz (Eric Carter); seven grandchildren, Shayla Edwards, Ebony Davis (Darrin Hall Jr.), E’moni Davis, Morgan McLennan, Robert Maderitz, Grayson McLennan and Dream Carter; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and her precious dog, Peanut.

Scooter will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive relatives and friends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman, followed by a 1 p.m. memorial service.
