Mary Jane Tolliver 1934-2025
WOOSTER — Mrs. Mary Jane Tolliver, 91, transitioned to her eternal home, Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home, Dalton.
Mrs. Tolliver was born March 25, 1934, in Youngstown, a daughter of William Howard Taft Clark and Margaret. Webster Clark.
She was a graduate of The Rayen School, then attended Youngstown State University’s secretarial school.
Prior to the birth of her first child, she worked assisting in the salon at Strouss Department Store. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Tolliver was a parishioner for over 60 years at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Mary Jane was an expert dancer and won three professional dance competitions for the jitterbug. In addition, she enjoyed watching Chuck Norris movies, roller skating, watching professional wrestling and playing bingo.
She leaves to cherish her beloved memory, a daughter, Pamela Denise Tolliver, MSTE, BA, a 31-year survivor of frontal lobe traumatic brain injury; five grandchildren, including Dr. Attorney Clarence Henry Tolliver III; a cousin, Dr. Joan Boyd; a special friend, Jeri S. Masters; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Clark; her beloved husband, whom she married May 19, 1958; a son, Lt. Clarence Henry Tolliver Jr. (Navy retiree); and four brothers William, Paul, Donald and Kenneth Clark.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, at the L. E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home, 1951 McGuffey Road, Youngstown, OH 44505. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m.
