Margaret J. Greco 1933-2025
AUSTINTOWN — Margaret J. Greco, 92, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 9, 2025, at Hospice House, surrounded by her family.
Margaret was born March 16, 1933, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Patsy and Margaret Santillo Palombo.
Margaret was a 1951 graduate of Boardman High School and went on to marry the love of her life, Dominic J “Sonny” Greco Jr., in 1954.
In addition to being a proud homemaker, Margaret had an extensive career working for Century Foods, Federal Wholesale and Tamco Distributor. When her sons were younger, she was a den mother and Christian Mother of Immaculate Conception Church. Margaret enjoyed bowling and enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially cherished the moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margaret was proud of her family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Margaret will always be remembered by her two sons, Dominic (Tami) Greco of Austintown and Gregory (Maureen) Greco of Arizona; five grandchildren, Natasha (Adam) Perea, Lisa (Dan) Daugherty, Nicole (Kyle) Funseth, Michelle (Brian) Sterchi and Karrie (Robbie) Smith; seven great-grandchildren, Madison, Gianna, Sophia, Adam Joseph, Delaney, Evan and Emma Rose; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Besides her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Dominic J. “Sonny” Greco Jr., who passed in 2022; brothers, Felix Palombo (Joan Alspach), Louis (Frances) Palombo and Alex (Antoinette) Palombo; and sisters, Christina (Frank) Guerrieri and Rachel Magyar.
Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Margaret 10 to 11:15 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, at Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman.
A funeral Mass will be at noon Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, with the Very Rev. Monsignor John Zuraw, J.C.L., V.G., as celebrant.
Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Austintown.
