Lorraine M. Sorensen 1934-2025
AUSTINTOWN — Lorraine M. Sorensen, 90, passed away peacefully at home, Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Lorraine was born Nov. 13, 1934, in Espanola, New Mexico, the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa Trujillo Gutierrez.
She worked as administrative support for Boeing, formerly McDonnell Douglas Helicopter, until her retirement in 1989, and continued working in child care.
Lorraine was a devoted member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Austintown.
She was an avid reader and a deeply spiritual person. Lorraine enjoyed shopping, dining out and redecorating her rooms every few months. She loved taking road trips and cherished spending time with her grandchildren — especially teasing them and making them laugh.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Carla Sorensen; niece, Theresa Westcott; and her sister, Marlene Schoellerman.
She leaves behind to treasure her memory, her children, Joyce Measmer (Bradley) and John Sorensen (Jeanne); seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Phyllis Westcott.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, OH 44515.
