Loretta A. Lewandowski 1950-2025
STOW — Loretta A. Felton-Maslach Lewandowski, 75, passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, from glioblastoma brain cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Ernest A., loving mother of Valerie A. Maslach Moffa and husband Dr. Donald A. Jr. of Hudson, and cherished Nana of Donald A. III (Lauren) of Colorado, Charles and Caroline.
Loretta was born Jan. 18, 1950, in Youngstown and was the fifth child of the late Margaret O’Neil Felton and Charles Felton. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and William, and is survived by Mary Jane Hoffman of Colorado, Catherine Richards, Louise (John) Maro, Michael (Terri) Felton, and Ruth Ellen Skripac of Hawaii.
Rett, as she was known, attended Youngstown State University and graduated summa cum laude in 1974. She went on to serve as a registered nurse at South Side Hospital in the Medical and Surgical ICU and at Northside Hospital in dialysis for 10 years before marrying Dr. Ernest A. on Feb. 14, 1987. She poured her heart into her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the center of her world. She was a constant and devoted presence in their lives, guiding them to live with kindness, principle and heart. Her creativity found an outlet in quilting, a craft she mastered with both skill and passion. She was an active member of KISS Quilt Guild, Loose Threads and Buckeye Machine Quilters. Rett created award-winning works of art and thoughtful gifts treasured by family and friends.
Honoring her wishes, there will be no calling hours.
A funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 340 N. Main St., Hudson, OH 44236, with a celebration of life to follow.
The service will be livestreamed on the St. Mary Catholic Church website, www.stmaryhudson.cc/livestream.
Private interment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
