Larry G. Rusu 1956-2025

Born Dec. 6, 1956, Larry leaves behind a legacy marked by devotion to family and community, characterized by his generous spirit and unwavering support.

Larry grew up in the Youngstown area, attending Ursuline High School. His professional life involved working at American Dream Pools and then retiring from Syro Steel.

A man of faith, Larry cherished his relationship with God, engaging daily with the scriptures and sharing his faith openly.

Larry was a fervent sports enthusiast, loyally supporting the Cleveland Guardians, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Green Bay Packers. His passion extended to attending his grandchildren’s sports events, which brought him immense joy. Larry was very proud of his grandchildren and loved them deeply.

He is survived by his parents, David and Jeanette Rusu of Struthers; his sons, Greg and Amy Rusu of Bluffton, Indiana, Eric and Kate Rusu of Struthers, and Dan and Megan Rusu of New Wilmington, Pa. Larry was a beloved grandfather to 11 grandchildren. He is also survived by his five sisters, Barb, Carol, Debbie, Diane and Cindy.

Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Christine Estes Rusu; his sister, Katherine Ingram; and his brother, David Rusu.

Per Larry’s wishes, there will be no services.
