John W. Marciella 1959-2025

CANFIELD — John W. Marciella, 66, known as Jack to his family and friends, passed away early Tuesday evening, Nov. 11, 2025, in Conroe, Texas.

John was born May 18, 1959, in Youngstown, the son of the late James Maricella and Mary K. Harris Marciella-McCauley.

John was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Class of 1977. He went on to Youngstown State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree, and then on to a master’s degree.

John was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

He enjoyed his Detroit Lions, the family dog, Chewy, and traveling all over the United States. He loved spending time with family and friends.

John was a long-haul trucker for over 25 years. He last drove for Crete Shaffer Carrier, where he received numerous accolades for safety, trainer of the year and many drivers of the month awards.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sisters, Theresa (Terry) Terrigno of Canfield and Christine (Mike) Wagner-Short of Poland; nephews, Terry Terrigno, Nico Terrigno of Canfield, Michael Wagner of Boardman and James (Kiley) Wagner of Youngstown; a niece, Kristin (Dave) Munholand of New Springfield; two daughters, Shannon and Nicole; many great-nieces and -nephews, aunts and uncles; and many friends.

John was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Isadore and Mary Marsico Marciella; maternal grandparents, John W. Harris and Catherine Blum Harris; and by his sister, Deborah A. Marciella.

Per his wishes, no calling hours or services will be held.

His family will have a private memorial at a later date.
