George Khoury 1932-2025

POLAND — It is with heavy hearts and profound love that the family of George Boutros El Khoury announces his passing on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025.

George was born Feb. 3, 1932, in Kafarhay, Lebanon, to his devoted parents Boutros and Maryam El Khoury.

He passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, faith and laughter that will forever be cherished.

George is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Nasta, whose unwavering partnership was the foundation of their beautiful family. Together, they raised their children, Charlotte Mike, Mirna Dibo, Charles Khoury, Pierre (Sonia) Khoury and Suzanne Ishac, who carry forward his values of love, generosity and perseverance.

A hardworking man of great warmth and a heart full of humor, George brought joy to all who knew him. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren – 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren – were the pride of his life. They will always remember their Jiddo’s gentle smile, teasing jokes and the stories he shared beneath the shade of his fig trees.

George took immense pride in his garden, a reflection of his hard-working nature and nurturing spirit. Whether tending to his fig trees or sharing the fruits of his labor with loved ones, he found peace and purpose in cultivating life and beauty around him.

He is also survived by his dear siblings, Edmond El Khoury, Josephine Ishac and Zarife Suleiman, and is reunited in eternal rest with his parents; his brothers, Fouad, John and Yousef; and his two sons-in-law, Michel Ishac and Michael Mike Jr.

A Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at St. Maron Maronite Church, with Father Tony Massad as celebrant.

Private burial for family will follow in Poland Riverside Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman.

In lieu of flowers, material contributions can be made out to the family so they can forward it to St. Saba Maronite Church, Lebanon, or to St. Maron Maronite Church, 1555, South Meridian Road, Youngstown, OH 44511.
