Frank Marstellar 1933-2025
LAS VEGAS — My dad, Frank Marstellar, 92, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025.
I love my dad! He gave my mom, Yandi, me everything! He always took care of us! He was kind. He was a great dad! My dad didn’t say his affections or emotions. He showed them in action! When I was a kid he always surprised me with things I wanted. I’d want something, I’d come home and it would be sitting on my bed. When I was feeling bad or sick he always had a way of making me feel better.
My dad loved sports … and he was good at them! He played football and ran track at East High School. And he played baseball almost all his life. If he wasn’t playing sports, he was watching sports. My dad also loved to hunt. One of his favorite things was to spend time in the woods with his brothers at their camp in Pennsylvania.
He was a truck driver in the Army, then for M&A Distributing, and then he worked security at Mirage Resorts in Las Vegas. When he retired, he worked as a security guard for the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District. Which I loved, because it is where I work. So, I got a chance to work with my dad! I loved that!
He is missed so much! The house isn’t the same without him. He is reunited with his wife, my mom and his brothers.
Frank is survived by his son, Michael; his daughter-in-law, Yandi; his brother, John of Austintown; his daughter, Shawna; and nieces and nephews.
Frank’s wife, Yolanda; and six brothers, Robert, Howard, James, Arthur, Thomas and Ralph, are all deceased.
