Eileen Grimm 1943-2025
AUSTINTOWN — Elieen Crean Grimm, 82, passed away peacefully, Friday evening, Nov. 14, 2025, with her family at her side.
She was born Aug. 12, 1943, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret O’Hara Crean, who immigrated from Ireland. Eileen was a lifelong area resident.
Elieen grew up on the North Side of Youngstown, on Ohio Avenue, with her nine siblings. She graduated from Ursuline High School in 1961.
She attended Victor George Beauty School and was a beautician at Fred’s Salon and at David’s Salon for many years. Eileen worked at General Motors on the assembly line and then worked as a towmotor operator before retiring after 40 years of service.
She belonged to St. Joseph Church in Austintown, enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and Europe, but frequently visited her favorite place, Ireland.
Elieen met monthly for lunch with her co-workers and friends; she always enjoyed making reservations at various restaurants.
She loved the holidays with her family; she always brought plenty of good wine and cheese to celebrate.
Elieen had a heart of gold and was very generous. She was very involved with her nieces and nephews and all their activities.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her siblings, Margaret (Ed) Narry, Nora Butler, Thomas (Donna) Crean, Valerie (Tom) Green, and twins, Dorothy R. “Candy” (Chuck) Guzzy and Donna (Phil) Marsolo.
Eileen also leaves many nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Patrick (Ruth), Edward W. and James P. Crean; and brother-in-law, Joe Butler.
Family and friends may call 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, at the Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, and 10 to 10:50 a.m. Thursday at St. Blaise Parish-St. Joseph Church, 4545 New Road, Austintown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, celebrated by the Rev. Msgr. Peter Polando.
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
