Daniel W. Phibbs Sr. 1959-2025

He was born Jan. 26, 1959, in Youngstown, a son of Walter R. Sr. and JoAnn Pennock Phibbs.

Daniel, a lifelong area resident, was a 1978 graduate of Hubbard High School. He attended two years of trade school and was a member of Celebration Church in Hubbard.

He was a self-employed contractor for many years, specializing in home improvements, retiring in 2005. Daniel was a well-loved Papa of 11 grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family, trips to the casino and traveling to Arizona to visit family. He liked to do things around the house, loved camping, watching football, especially the Browns, and he loved the Lord.

Daniel leaves the love of his life and wife, the former Jacqueline Schrader, whom he married Aug. 26, 1978; two sons, Daniel (Sarah) Phibbs Jr. of Hubbard and Joshua (Amanda) Phibbs of Masury; three daughters, Heather Phibbs of Peoria, Arizona, Jenny Phibbs and Cassandra Phibbs, both of Hubbard; a brother, Bruce (Lori) Phibbs of Gibsonia, Pa.; sisters, Robin (Dale) Ebert and Cathy Ebert, both of Austintown; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Bobby, Dennis, David and Paul Phibbs; and a brother-in-law, Richard Ebert.

Family and friends may call 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025, at the Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Don Sparman officiating.
