Beverly J. Schumann 1951-2025
KENT — Beverly Jean Schick Schumann, 74, born Aug. 18, 1951, passed away peacefully to her eternal home surrounded by people she loved, on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, after a courageous battle against cancer.
Bev was a devoted wife to Bob, an educator, cherished family member and proud grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength and unwavering dedication to others.
Born in Barberton, Bev was raised in Wadsworth. She graduated from Wadsworth High School, received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron and a master’s degree in education from Kent State University.
She and her husband, Bob, celebrated 53 years of marriage.
She is survived by four sons and their spouses, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St., Kent, OH 44240.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 313 North Depeyster St., Kent, OH 44240.
