Arlene N. Wright 1940-2025
HUBBARD — Arlene N. Wright, 85, of Hubbard, formerly of Boardman, passed away peacefully, Tuesday evening, Oct. 21, 2025.
Arlene was born Oct. 3, 1940, in Youngstown, the daughter of Alfred and Olga Schubert Naples, and was a lifelong area resident.
A graduate of Chaney High School, Arlene also attended Youngstown State University.
In addition to being a devoted homemaker, Arlene worked alongside her beloved husband, Richard, handling bookkeeping for their family business, Audio-Arts Company, which they founded together in the 1960s.
A proud member of First Presbyterian Church, Arlene enjoyed listening to music, attending plays, shopping and staying active through water aerobics. She treasured her Windsor Road neighbors and “grandchildren,” showing her love and gratitude for them with home-baked cookies and her famous green JELL-O salad. She cherished her lifelong friendships and made a point to stay in touch with many of her childhood friends.
Her beloved husband of more than 59 years, Richard H. Wright, whom she married Dec. 26, 1959, preceded her in death on April 25, 2018.
Arlene leaves behind to hold onto her memories, her two daughters, Lynn Marie (Robert Temple) Wright of South Carolina and Sharon Noreen Wright of Boardman; her brother, Alfred (Shirley) Naples of Texas; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Arlene was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Ann Wall, and her beloved dog, Molly.
Family and friends may pay their respects 10 to 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church, 201 Wick Ave., Youngstown, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Payne Warner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Arlene to First Presbyterian Church, 201 Wick Ave., Youngstown, OH 44503.
Burial will take place inTod Homestead Cemetery, Youngstown.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman.
Arlene’s family extends heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff at Elmwood Senior Living, her caregiver, Aristea Vouvalis, and Dr. Howard Slemons for the care and compassion shown to Arlene throughout the years, especially during this difficult time.
