Richard R. Bacha Jr. 1956-2025

MOSINEE, Wis. — Richard R. Bacha Jr., died Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Richard was born April 21, 1956, in Youngstown, son of the late Richard Sr. and Lucy Ciavarella Bacha. He served in the U.S. Air Force, where he met his wife, Michele. They were married in 1982.

After completing college, he went on to get his MBA and then his PhD in business management. He taught for many years as an assistant professor at Penn State-York. He loved working on older cars and owned way too many.

He and his wife, the former Michele P. Fochs, had two children, Annee Marie of Minneapolis and Jonathan Phillip of Warren. He is also survived by a brother, Steven, and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his beloved dog, Brooke, and cat, White Kitty.

Rick and his wife had recently moved to Wisconsin to be closer to his wife’s family, mother-in-law, Norma Fochs; and other in-laws, Kim (Wyatt) Witz, Terri (Joel) Van Guilder, Tami (Chris) Stevens, Leslie Fochs and Scott Fochs.

Besides his parents, Rick was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis, and a sister, Karen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Aaron Becker will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service, all at the church.
