SALEM -- Philip A. Haynali, 90, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, at Salem Regional Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 14, 1935, and lived a life devoted to his family, faith and hard work.
Philip proudly served his country in the United States Navy, receiving military honors for his service. Following his military career, he was employed at General Motors in Lordstown, where he dedicated many years before his retirement.
A man of faith, he was a member of Berlin Center United Methodist Church, where he found fellowship and strength.
He leaves behind his loving daughters, Kimberly M. Hupp (Brian) and Sherry L. Parker (the late Cary). He was a cherished grandfather to Michele Butler (Richard), Brian Hupp Jr. (Tara), Michael Hupp (Alexis), Dana Parker (Mallory) and the late Kyle Parker (LeeAnn), and a great-grandfather to Caden Hupp, Kamryn Hupp, Channing Hupp, Alyxandria Hupp, Molly Butler, Griffin Butler and Thea Hupp. He is also remembered by his stepsons, Brian Murray (Wanda), Robert Murray (Debbie), Barry Murray (Andrea) and Bruce Murray.
Philip was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Haynali.
Family and friends may call at Lane Funeral Home, 65 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406, where visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, with the funeral service to follow at noon.
Burial with military honors will take place in Grandview Cemetery, Salem, following the service.
Philip will be remembered for his devotion to family, his quiet strength and the legacy of love and faith he leaves behind.
