Nikolas A. Koulianos 1949-2025
CAMPBELL — Nikolas A. Koulianos, 75, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at his home.
Nikolas was born Nov. 5, 1949, in Kalymnos, Greece, a son of Anthony and Nomiki Maillis Koulianos. He came to the Campbell area in the mid-1950s and was a 1968 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. He then went on to the New Castle School of Trades, where he earned a diploma in autobody and mechanics.
He was also in the U.S. Navy.
He married the love of his life, the former Gail Fitch, on Aug. 25, 1973, and they shared 52 wonderful years of marriage.
He retired from General Motors as a laborer.
Nikolas was a member of Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Campbell. He was very proud of his Greek heritage. Nikolas enjoyed visiting with his friends at the Greek coffee house and McDonald’s, and he was a big fan of all the Ohio sports teams. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his two granddaughters.
Nikolas will be deeply loved and missed and always remembered by his wife, Gail; his children, Nomiki “Kitsa” (Steve) Rotunno of Hubbard and Anthony “Tony” Koulianos of Austintown; two grandchildren, Gianna and Maria Rotunno; his brothers, Pete and Paul Koulianos; and sisters, Katina Phillips and Eva Douropoulos. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Mary Limperos; his sisters, Irene Mastoris and Caliope Trikilis; and his brother, Louie Koulianos.
The Koulianos family has entrusted Nikolas’ care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell.
Calling hours will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Campbell, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service, officiated by Rev. Steve Denas.
Nikolas will be laid to rest in Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Cemetery in Campbell, with full military honors rendered by the Ellsworth VFW Post 9571.
