Lynn E. Rice 1947-2025

Born Jan. 13, 1947, in Sharon, Pa., Lynn was the daughter of the late Floyd and Elizabeth Shepard.

Lynn worked for many years at the Holiday Inn and also provided cleaning services for homes and funeral homes. She was known for her strong work ethic and her deep love for family and friends, cherishing every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her two sons, Richard C. Rice and Joshua D. Rice, both of Boardman; eight grandchildren, including Natalie Rice and Brad Rice of Austintown; several great-grandchildren; three stepchildren; her sister, Barbra Zook, and brother, Bill Shepard, both of West Middlesex. Lynn also leaves behind her beloved fur babies, Molly and Tucker.

Lynn enjoyed trips to Disney World with her lifelong best friend, Jamie. She had a passion for gardening, especially growing vegetables, and loved decorating her home for every holiday throughout the year. Shopping and celebrating the seasons were some of her favorite pastimes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Rice, and three sisters, Shirley, Karen and Margie.
