Lillian DeSalvo 1935-2025

POLAND — Lillian Corrine DeSalvo, 89, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025.
Born Nov. 2, 1935, in Youngstown, she is the daughter of the late Armando “Sparkie” and Viola Magalotti Mastropietro.
A proud graduate of East High School, Lillian began her career as a preschool teacher, nurturing young minds with patience and care. She later became a respected counter manager for Estee Lauder at Macy’s, where her warmth and grace left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.
A devoted member of Holy Family Church and an enthusiastic participant in the Red Hat Society, Lillian found joy in playing bridge, reading and spending treasured time with family and friends. Lillian lived a life filled with love, laughter and devotion to her family and community.
Lillian will be missed by her three children, Carla DeSalvo Owens, Mark DeSalvo and Corrine DeSalvo Martin; six cherished grandchildren, Mark (Jillian) DeSalvo II, Stephanie (Jayare) Cichanski, Nicole (J.C.) Kojancic, Matthew (Jaclyn) Owens, Zachary Martin and Zoe Martin; eight precious great-grandchildren, Hadlee, Phebee and Mark DeSalvo, Olivia, Greyson and Scarlett Cichanski, and Fiona and Foster Kocjancic; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Joseph DeSalvo, whom she lost in 1978 and never stopped loving; a brother, Joseph Mastropietro; and a sister, Bernadine Mastropietro Walsh.
Lillian was deeply loved and will be missed forever by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Private services were held in her honor.
