Judy Guy 1943-2025

NORTH LIMA — Judy Guy, 82, affectionately known as “Cookie,” passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, at Assumption Village Nursing Home.
Judy was born June 20, 1943, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Ann Tusinac Kuti.
A graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School, she went on to work as a lab technician for LensCrafters, where her attention to detail and warm personality touched many.
On July 2, 1989, Judy married Leland S. Guy. The two shared 30 beautiful years of marriage, until his passing in 2020.
Cookie was a woman of many talents and passions. She was an avid painter, known for her beautifully hand-painted Christmas village pieces, and a skilled seamstress who lovingly made clothing for her children. A lifelong animal lover, Judy also fostered countless kittens through Angels for Animals, giving them a safe and loving start in life. She cherished music — especially rock ‘n’ roll — and counted Queen and Journey among her favorite bands. But above all, she was “Grandma” to her granddaughters, a role she embraced with love and joy.
Cookie is survived by her two daughters, Cassandra (Tom) Campean of North Lima and Christina (Mike) Soulas of San Antonio, Texas; her four beloved granddaughters, Maria (Nicholas Millison) Campean, Andrea Campean, Tiana (Ryley) McAtee and Kiersten Soulas; and two brothers, Jack Kuti of Boardman and Robert (Cheryl Ann) Kuti of North Benton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leland S. Guy; and her brother, Jerry Kuti.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of service at noon Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at the Green Haven Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3495 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Canfield, OH 44406.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Judy’s memory to Angels for Animals at www.angels foranimals.org/donations-memorials.
Arrangements are being handled by the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, Boardman. Condolences may be shared at www.beckerobits.com.
