Juahn T. Christ 1950-2025
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Juahn T. Christ, 75, of Myrtle Beach and formerly of Youngstown, passed away Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, at Redstone Highlands, Greensburg, Pa.
He was born June 26, 1950, in Warren, a son of the late Robert Leverne and Harriet Darline McClain Christ.
Juahn was a career U.S. Army veteran, having seen combat in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division 1/506th Infantry, as well as the 173rd Airborne Division. After retiring from his military career, Juahn had many interests, including being an avid golfer and passionate Cleveland Browns fan.
He is survived by daughters, Erin M. Dean (husband, Randy) of Youngstown, Amanda R. Lawther (husband, Joshua) of Jeannette, Pa., Megan Christ and Lyndsey Christ; six grandchildren, Raylan Dean, Kayden Lawther, Owen Kopcho, Adalyn Lawther, Levi Kopcho and Kallen Lawther; and a special nephew, Wayne Alan Christ, and his wife and children.
In addition to his parents, Juahn was preceded in death by brothers, Wayne and Chuck Christ, and Bill Steele; and sister-in-law, Jacki Christ.
Friends will be received for a memorial visitation 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home Inc., 3343 Route 130, P.O. Box 465, Harrison City, PA, 724-744-2721, where military honors will be accorded at 2 p.m.
