Dorothy A. Kupar Kotyuha 1934-2025
ASHLAND — Dorothy Ann Kupar Kotyuha, 91, passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at Woodlands of Liberty in Wadsworth.
Dorothy was born June 19, 1934, in Barberton. She was a daughter of Peter and Mary Kallai Kupar and was a 1952 graduate of Barberton High School. She furthered her education by earning her diploma as a registered nurse from the former People’s Hospital School of Nursing, now known as Akron General Hospital.
She worked as a registered nurse in Florida, Akron and Barberton.
She married John Kotyuha and moved to the Youngstown area in the late 1960s.
She was a faithful parishioner of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.
Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo and volunteering at her church.
She is survived by her son, John J. Kotyuha; as well as many nieces, nephews and a brother-in-law, Mike Kotyuha.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Daniel, George and Michael Kupar; and her sister, Mary Macko.
Private funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, with Fr. Michael Farynets officiating.
Dorothy was laid to rest beside her husband in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Cemetery in Campbell.
