Delores Saborse 1941-2025

YOUNGSTOWN — Delores “Dee” Saborse, 84, of Youngstown’s West Side, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Dee was born Aug. 26, 1941, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Anthony and Clara Palmer Harvey. She was raised on Youngstown’s East Side and was a 1959 graduate of East High School.

She worked at various grocery stores throughout the area while dedicating her life to her family. Dee was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica and, more recently, attended the Franciscan Friary.

In her younger years, Dee enjoyed bowling and, in later years, loved playing bingo and visiting casinos. Above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, who were the center of her life.

Dee leaves to forever cherish her memory, her five children, Renee Saborse, Jackie Saborse and Denise Saborse, all of Youngstown, Carmen (Sherry) Saborse of Austintown and Steven (Michele) Saborse of North Port, Florida; 11 grandchildren, Matthew (Jenelle) Saborse, Anthony (Candace) Lunsford, Dominic Luther, Jacob (Rose) Saborse, Mallori (Devin) Hull, Tara (Kevin) Grischow, Jenna (Joe) Miner, Nico (Nicole) Saborse, Gino (Kelsey) Saborse, Samantha (Mark) Resty and Vince Saborse; 17 great-grandchildren; her sister, Linda (George) Buncic of Youngstown; and sister-in-law, Nancy Harvey of Kettering.

Her husband of 47 years, Peter C. Saborse, whom she married Jan. 30, 1960, passed away July 18, 2007. Her brother, Eugene Harvey, is also deceased.

Family and friends may call 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a funeral service will take place at noon.

Private interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, where Dee will be laid to rest beside her husband.
