Cynthia O’Dea 1959-2025

McDONALD — Cynthia O’Dea, 66, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Cindy was born Feb. 25, 1959, in Warren, the daughter of Ronald and Sally Hubbard Wilson.

Her life was marked by warmth, kindness and dedication to her family.

A lifelong area resident, she graduated from McDonald High School in 1977.

Her career spanned several valued positions in the community, having worked at Rite Aid Pharmacy, Dollar General and ultimately retiring from McDonald’s. She was known for her hard work and her ability to connect with customers and colleagues alike, leaving a lasting impression wherever she went.

She was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed researching the family ancestry.

Cindy is survived by her loving sister, Karen (John) Chase; her niece, Samantha; her nephews, Jake and Zane; as well as her aunt and uncle, Marilyn and Thomas Slater; and her cherished cousins, Thomas (Stacy) Slater and Shari (Alex) Ennis. Their memories of shared laughter and moments spent together will be forever treasured.

She also leaves behind her extended family, Jamie (Danny) Van Meter, and her beloved “grandchildren,” William, Preston and Madison.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation for Cindy will be 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at Blackstone Funeral Home, with a funeral service at 6 p.m.

Cindy was a beloved sister, aunt and friend, and she will be missed by her loved ones dearly.
