Constance D. Gray 1931-2025

CAMPBELL — Constance Delores Gray, 94, of 359 Jackson St., Campbell, departed this life 3 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, at Hospice House, following complications from an extended illness.

She was born July 9, 1931, in Campbell, the daughter of Albert Crafton and Thelma Winston Roebuck.

Constance was employed with the Pick Ohio Hotel for 25 years as a cook before retiring in 1972.

She was the oldest member of Gospel Temple Baptist Church, where she was a past deaconess, chairman of the culinary department, former president of the Progressive Women Democrats Club of Campbell, and enjoyed going to the casinos, playing bingo and traveling.

She married Warren P. Gray on May 5, 1951; he died Feb. 20, 1998.

She leaves to mourn one son, Warren E. Gray of Campbell; two daughters, Mrs. Jacqueline (Leslie Donald) Walker of Warren and Ms. Denise D. Gray of Campbell; one granddaughter she raised, Mrs. Deirdre (George) Woodford of Stone Mountain, Georgia; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Audrey Reynolds.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at Gospel Temple Baptist Church, with calling hours 10 to 11 a.m.

Burial will take place in Belmont Park Cemetery.
