Christopher L. Hahn 1973-2025

YOUNGSTOWN — Christopher Hahn passed away at home peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, after a courageous 10-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He faced his illness with the same quiet strength and independence that defined his life — doing things his way, on his own terms, until the very end.
Chris was a man of few words, but those who knew him best understood the depth of his love and loyalty. To his family and friends, he was strong, kind and deeply caring.
He is survived by his three children, CJ (Ariel) Hahn, Kaytlyn (Logan) Acri and Michael Hahn, who were his greatest pride and joy. He is also survived by his father, Gary Hahn; his two brothers, Craig Hahn and Curt Hahn; and his beloved nieces and nephews.
Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Kennedy, and his best friend, Mark Vogel, with whom he shared a strong bond.
During the last 10 months of his life, Chris made his home with his daughter, Kaytlyn, and son-in-law, Logan, where he was surrounded by love, laughter and care each day. Those months were filled with quiet evenings, and simple joys that will be cherished forever.
Kaytlyn and Logan will deeply miss his steady presence, his dry humor and the comfort of simply having him close by. Their home and their hearts will never be quite the same without him.
Chris had a soft spot for his “grandkitties,” who brought him comfort and laughter. A man who was a free spirit but loved the simple pleasures in life, he enjoyed fishing trips, poker nights and the quiet moments spent with those he loved. His strength never wavered, and his warmth will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Chris will be greatly missed, but his spirit and love will continue to live on through his family and the countless memories they shared together.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Alan Dooley, Karen and the rest of his palliative care team, Dr. Vincent Ricchiuti, Dr. Frances McCarron, Dr. Chahine and Conni Lowe, for their exceptional compassion, dedication and care throughout his journey.
