Carol J. Reapsummer 1948-2025
LIBERTY — Carol Jean Reapsummer, 77, of Liberty Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, Oct. 1, 2025, at Austintown Health Care Center, with her lifelong friends, the Malone family, by her side.
Carol was born on Tuesday, May 18, 1948, in Youngstown, a daughter of Robert Sr. and Margaret Conti Reapsummer. She was a lifelong member of the community.
She was a 1966 graduate of Liberty High School and went on to further her education at Youngstown State University, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. Carol taught for many years in the Liberty Local School District, where she inspired countless students with her passion for learning. Following her retirement, she continued to share her gift of teaching by tutoring and volunteering her time within the Liberty schools and in the community, always dedicated to nurturing young minds.
Beyond her career, Carol enjoyed being active and was a longtime member of the Logan Swim Club, where she spent many summers with friends and neighbors.
She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Robert A. Reapsummer Jr., and her longtime friends Patricia Malone and David Malone and their families.
Besides her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret, and her father, Robert Reapsummer Sr.
The family has requested contributions to be made to the Liberty School Parent Teacher Association.
