Betty J. Davis Pullin 1928-2025

CANFIELD — Betty Jean Davis Pullin, 97, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, at Briarfield at Ashley Circle in Austintown.
Betty grew up on a tobacco and cotton farm in Etowah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late William and Marjorie Davis. She graduated from McMinn County High School in 1947 and worked at Harrods Market in Athens, Tennessee, until moving to Ohio in 1950 to work at the General Electric lamp plant in Niles.
Shortly after her arrival, she joined a Bible study group at Evansville Baptist Church, where her uncle and her future father-in-law were among the founders. There she met the love of her life, Robert Pullin. They were married for 54 years before his death in 2006.
Betty will be deeply missed by her son, Frederick Pullin (Mary); grandchildren, William Cahalin (Britney) and Joyce Cahalin; great-grandchildren, Riley and Sullivan Cahalin, and Alexander and Lily Augustine; sister, Eldora Davis; and son-in-law, Robert Cahalin (Paula).
In addition to her late husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Cahalin; brothers, Edward, Ted, Chester, John and Julius; and sister, Alice.
As someone who valued simplicity throughout her life, Betty asked that there be no calling hours or memorial service. A private gathering of immediate family to honor her memory may take place at a later time.
She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Bob (“her Bob”) at Girard Liberty Union Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes. Family and friends are invited to share memories and condolences at www.lanefuneralhomes.com.
