Audrey Steigner 1937-2025

Audrey was born and raised in Youngstown to Vernon and Gladys Thistlewaite. She graduated in 1955 from The Rayen School, where she was a majorette, but most importantly, met her high school sweetheart, Edward Steigner.

Audrey and Ed moved to Florida, where she was a loving homemaker who, together with Ed, built a beautiful, successful life together. They were married for 47 years.

She spent most of her adult years in Florida, but always considered Youngstown her home. Audrey was a kind and generous woman who enjoyed travel, spending time with her family and volunteering at the local hospital.

Audrey leaves her sister, Patricia Moffo of Austintown; and brother, Harry (Olivia) Thistlewaite of Las Vegas, Nevada; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Audrey was preceded in death by her brother, Vernon Thistlewaite, and sister, Jean Boran. Audrey’s loving husband, Ed Steigner, passed away in July 2008.

Audrey will be remembered for her warmth, her caring nature and her love for her family. She will be greatly missed.

Audrey and Ed are together again.
