Anthony Maro 1950-2025

He was born Aug. 28, 1950, in Youngstown, the son of the late Anthony J. and Lucy Di Fiore Maro. He lived in Youngstown most of his life.

Anthony was a 1968 graduate of Ursuline High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in social studies from Youngstown State University. He retired as a clerk for Conrail.

He married Carol Skruck on April 26, 1980; together they traveled the states and Europe until her passing on June 10, 2016.

Anthony enjoyed bingo, attending concerts and going to casinos with his longtime friend, Tom Miller.

He is survived by his godson, Will Maro (Summer), and family of London, England, and many cousins.

In addition to his parents and wife, Anthony was preceded in death by a brother, the Rev. Richard F. Maro of Canton.

Anthony was laid to rest privately in Crown Hill Burial Park.

Per his request, there were no calling hours.
