William E. Venzen 1946-2025

McDONALD — William E. “Vinnie” Venzen, 79, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, at home.

He was born May 29, 1946, in Hubbard, the son of Stephen and Margaret Stofa Venzen.

After graduating from Hubbard High School, Vinnie served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.

He worked many years for and retired from General Motors.

A big NASCAR fan and a member of the American Legion in Girard, he was an avid fisherman and could be found in his boat on Mosquito or Pymatuning Lake. He used to have a Harley, and he and Sally rode with others to Myrtle Beach for the time of their lives.

Precious memories of Vinnie live on with his beloved wife of 24 years, Sally (Wright) Lopez Venzen, whom he married May 18, 2001; five children, Kim (Michael) Yaksic of Florida, Debbie (Bill) Evans of Toledo, Laura Venzen (Keith Dillinger) of Girard, Whitney Lopez of Wheeling, W.Va., and Tyler (Tia) Lopez of Boardman; six grandchildren, Kassandra (Tyler) Pike, Kimberlyn Simeon, Katie (Cara) Stang, Bryan Evans, Layla Dillinger and Colter Lopez; two great-granddaughters, Kaisley and Scarlett Pike; his sister, Mary Cassidy of Hubbard; and his four-legged BFF, Brandon.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his sister, Elaine Andrews.

Services will be held privately at a later date.
