Vincent D. Tondy Sr. 1933-2025
YOUNGSTOWN — Vincent Dale Tondy Sr., 92, passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love as the beloved husband of the late Serepta “Kay” Beckwith Tondy; loving father of Dulce (Frank) Bayer, Nancy (Donna Mazzola), the late Vincent (Juanita) and the late Emil (Lisa, deceased) Tondy; devoted grandfather of Joshua, Sarah, Sam (Kasey Montgomery) and Leah Bayer (Luke Goodman), Kimberly (John Kalosky) and Kristia Tondy, Sherry Winkler (Paul Weeks), Justine (Stephen Toto), Angela, Emily and Vincent Tondy; great-grandfather of seven; cherished son of the late Emil and Nancy D’Amico Tondy; dearest brother of the late Emil (Josephine, deceased) Tondy; dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend of many.
Born June 17, 1933, Vincent graduated from East High School in 1952 and was privileged to serve his country in the United States Army. Afterward, he opened Atlas TV, a business he operated for 30 years.
He and Kay were married and had four children whom Vince raised after Kay’s untimely death in 1972. He was endlessly patient, generous and quick to smile. Family was the most important part of his life.
Vince was a respected member of Eastside Kiwanis; he also enjoyed fishing, ballroom dancing, square dancing, camping, visiting flea markets, listening to Italian music and spending time with his grandkids.

Cremation entrusted to DeJohn Crematory.
Family will receive friends 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at the DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills, 28890 Chardon Road (between Bishop Road and state Route 91), with a celebration of life service at 6 p.m.
The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at Calvary Cemetery, 248 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, in the chapel. A graveside service with military honors will begin at 11:30 a.m. (Enter off Belle Vista Avenue and follow the road heading north to the chapel.)
