Thomas L. Sullivan Jr. 1950-2025
AUSTINTOWN — Thomas Lawrence Sullivan Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, at the age of 75.
Tom was born July 3, 1950, in Youngstown, a son of the late Thomas L. Sr. and Lillian Potts Sullivan.
Tom was a proud graduate of South High School, Class of 1969. He dedicated 38 years of his life to Goodwill Industries, where he first honed his skills as an upholsterer before transitioning into the distribution area, from which he retired in 2018.
Outside of his professional life, Tom found joy in a variety of pastimes. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed the thrill of the casino and loved playing cards with friends and family. His trips to Lake Erie, especially to Geneva-on-the-Lake, were some of his most treasured moments. However, Tom’s greatest pride and joy came from his family. He adored them and held a special place in his heart for his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Tom is survived by his sister, Maxcene (Sonny Tuchek) Sullivan of Austintown; two brothers, David (Kathy) Sullivan of Boardman and Michael (Mary Lou) Sullivan of Youngstown; his brother James’ girlfriend, Mary Ann Quinn; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James Sullivan; and a foster brother, Edward Prichard.
Family and friends can pay their respects 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
