Roy W. Gibson 1952-2025

Roy was born Jan. 30, 1952, in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of the late Larry S. and Ethel Gill Gibson.

He was the proud owner of Blue Rose Transportation and had a lifelong love of trains and traveling.

Roy leaves behind his brother, Alan Gibson; his children, Christian (Gleza) Allen, Lisa (James) Allen and Karin Allen; grandchildren, Brandon and Maven Allen; and his great-grandchild, Raydan Decker.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Cheryll S. Stoddard Gibson, whom he married July 19, 1999, and who passed away Jan. 13, 2022.

Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel.

A memorial service will follow at noon, officiated by Pastor Joel Theis.

Roy will be laid to rest at Eckis Cemetery beside his wife.
