Reynald J. Multari Sr. 1929-2025
BOARDMAN — Reynald J. Multari Sr., 96, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, with his family by his side.
He was born March 14, 1929, in Youngstown, the son of the late Alfred and Erminia Ferrara.
Reynald started his career in Detroit with Hughes and Hatcher. It was in Detroit that he met his wife Irene. They later moved to Pittsburgh, where he worked for Bond Clothing. They moved back to Youngstown in 1951, where he worked for Hartzell’s Rose & Sons until 1966, when he and his wife purchased The Kolesar Display Company and proceeded to turn the business into a nationally recognized name in the display industry.
Reynald was a Navy veteran. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, where he worked diligently with the late Brother Pascal from St. Paul’s Monastery to fundraise for the Right to Life billboard that is displayed on I-680.
In retirement, Reynald and his wife traveled America and enjoyed sightseeing, museums and rodeos. Older, but still young at heart, they went whitewater rafting and once rode an elephant.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He will be sadly missed by his sons, Reynald Jr. (Phyllis), James (Deborah) and Brian (Phyllis); and a daughter, Mona (Wesley Jones). He also leaves to cherish his memory, 12 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
