Lynne A. Schenker 1965-2025

BOARDMAN — Lynne Schenker, 60, passed away Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, with her family at her side, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

She was born Sept. 17, 1965, in Youngstown, the daughter of Fredrick Johns and Mary Pavlov Johns, and was a lifelong area resident.

Lynne graduated from Villa Marie High School and then attended Youngstown State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She continued her further education at Jameson School of Nursing as a registered nurse.

She was an RN for over 30 years with Trumbull Memorial Hospital and Mercy Health until she retired due to health issues.

Lynne was a member of St. Charles Church.

She liked going to garage sales and scratch-off lottery tickets.

She enjoyed spending time with her friend, Glenn, and going to different restaurants and long drives in the country. Lynne enjoyed watching horror movies with her son, Ethan. She loved spending time with her mom and keeping in touch with old friends whenever she found time.

Lynne always had a positive attitude and truly enjoyed helping those around her whenever she could.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Ethan A. Schenker, with whom she made her home; her mother, Mary Johns; her brother, Michael (Beth) Johns of Canfield; half sister, Tracey Clarke of Texas; and half brother, Edward Clarke of Texas. Lynne also leaves her longtime companion, Glenn Bohrer of Columbiana; her beloved dog, Cooper; and her nieces and nephews, Ashley, Daniel, Madison, Morgan and Michael Johns.

Family and friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, and 9 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, at the Fox Funeral Home.

The Nursing Honor Guard of Eastern Ohio will have a service before the funeral.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, celebrated by the Rev. G. David Wiekert.
