Joyce Kindler Fowler 1955-2025

Joyce Kindler Fowler

AUSTINTOWN — Joyce Kindler Fowler, 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at Niles Way Senior Living.

Born Jan. 14, 1955, in Youngstown, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Alice Carlson Kindler and was a lifelong resident of the area.

Joyce graduated from Boardman High School in 1973 and went on to enjoy a remarkable 45-year career as a flight attendant with Delta Airlines, retiring in 2020.

Her love of travel extended beyond her profession — she also worked as a travel agent, exploring destinations near and far, with cherished memories of trips to Hawaii, Ireland and the Caribbean Islands.

Joyce was a devoted member of Bethel Lutheran Church. She had a deep passion for painting, especially in oils, and was known for her detailed landscapes and portraits. A true perfectionist, she found joy and peace in her artwork. She also loved gardening and took great pride in caring for her flowers.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Fowler, whom she married Nov. 15, 2014; her daughter, Brooke Weibling of Boardman; and stepchildren, Eric Fowler of Portage Lakes, Stacie (John) Lesicko of Austintown, Dr. Ashley Fowler of Austintown and Raymond (Anna) Fowler of Little Rock, Arkansas. She also leaves behind her beloved granddaughter, Rosalie.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Walsh, and her infant sister, Heidi.

Family and friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel, and 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, at Bethel Lutheran Church, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m.
