Joni M. Klem 1954-2025

YOUNGSTOWN — Joni M. Klem, 70, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025, at her home.
She was born Sept. 20, 1954, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Ralph Klem, Dorothy Bagnall Reinhold and stepfather, William Reinhold.
She was a 1972 graduate of Boardman High School and worked for 50 years at Northside Hospital until her retirement.
She was an amazing seamstress whose talent shone through in everything she created. From aprons and quilts to clothes and scrubs, her hands skillfully stitched together both beauty and practicality. Her love for needlework was evident not only in her creations but also in the recognition she received, earning several blue ribbons for her needlepoint at the Canfield Fair.
Beyond her sewing, she found joy in many simple pleasures. She adored her kitties, who were always close by, and she loved cooking meals for family gatherings and get-togethers with friends. She also had a creative spirit, enjoying crafts of all kinds. The Hallmark TV channel was a favorite of Joni’s, especially the Christmas stories. When she wanted quiet moments, she often turned to reading.
Life was made even richer by the time she shared with those she loved. Vacations with her girlfriends brought her laughter and memories, while everyday moments with friends and family were what she treasured most. Whether through her talents, her companionship or her warm hospitality, she made the lives of those around her brighter.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her brother, Vance (Kathryn) Klem of Youngstown; niece, Kimberly (Jon) Miller; first cousins, Patty (George) Lancaster, Rick (Debby) Klem, Rod Klem, Brenda (Jeff) Jamison,Sam (Jeannine) Klem, Barbara (Craig) Jones and Sue Bagnall Pavlik; as well as many other extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and stepfather, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Steven Brownlee.
There will be no calling hours or services for Joni. She will be laid to rest in Lake Park Cemetery.
