Joan M. Cianciola 1941-2025

CANFIELD — Joan Marie Cianciola, 84, of Canfield, passed away peacefully on the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025.
Born April 25, 1941, in Youngstown, Joan was the daughter of Louis and Mary Ellen Urbania DeLucia.
A lifelong resident of the area, she graduated from Girard High School and later pursued her passion for gems and jewelry by earning her certification as a Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America.
Joan was a proud homemaker and an accomplished entrepreneur. Alongside her beloved husband, Sam, she co-owned and operated several businesses throughout the Mahoning Valley.
She was a longtime member of St. Christine Church and deeply rooted in her faith. She always made time for you, having an open ear, giving encouragement and giving the best advice. Joan lived life with passion for the Lord Jesus Christ and shared it with everyone. She enjoyed spending time in Florida, was known for her exceptional Italian cooking and was cherished for her warm smile, generous spirit and zest for life. Joan was a woman of class, grace and dignity.
Joan was preceded in death by her devoted husband of over 53 years, Samuel V. Cianciola Sr., whom she married on Oct. 21, 1961, and who passed on Jan. 21, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Samuel V. Cianciola Jr., and her parents.
Joan leaves to cherish her memory her beloved daughter, Lisa Ann Cianciola of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The two were inseparable, along with her niece, Rena Cianciola, many cousins and dear friends that she loved so very much.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, at St. Christine Church, 3125 S. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, where a funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m.
Entombment will take place in Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.
