Heather L. Bigley 1987-2025

CAMPBELL — Heather L. Bigley, 37, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Heather was born Nov. 17, 1987, in Youngstown, a daughter of Nick and Marian Banjo Hrelec.

Heather was a 2006 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. She then went on to further her education and earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from The Ohio State University.

She married the love of her life, James Bigley, on Aug. 18, 2018.

Heather was a member of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Youngstown.

Heather was a fifth-grade teacher at Harding Elementary School in Youngstown and previously taught at McGuffey Elementary School in Warren.

She was a die-hard Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Heather enjoyed lying by the pool with her dogs, telling bad jokes, family trips to Tybee Island, Georgia, playing with all her nieces and nephews, visiting her sister in Florida and most of all spending time with her family. Heather was always the life of the party. She loved life and always put others ahead of herself.

Heather will be deeply missed and always remembered by her husband, James; her parents; her sister, Candace Hrelec of Sarasota, Florida; her brother, Nick (Deanna) Hrelec Jr. of Poland; mother-in-law, Karen Bigley of Boardman; brother-in-law, Jeremy (Gina) Bigley of Campbell; three nieces, Adriana and Peyton Hrelec, and Olivia Bigley; three nephews, Nick Hrelec, and Cameron and Connor Bigley; many aunts, uncles, “stupid” cousins and her dogs, Callie and Toby.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Peter and Dorothy Hrelec; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Margaret Banjo; and her father-in-law, Jim Bigley.

The Bigley family has entrusted Heather’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, at the funeral home.

A prayer service will be 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, at the funeral home, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Youngstown.

Heather will be laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Cemetery in Campbell.
