Edward L. McQuillan 1960-2025

Edward was born Sept. 14, 1960, in Youngstown to Lawrence and Gertrude McGraw McQuillan.

He graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1979 and earned an associate degree in business administration from Youngstown State University in 1982.

Edward retired as a staff sergeant after 22 years of service in the United States Army. He received many medals and honors throughout his career; he was very proud to serve his country.

Edward loved to fish, hunt and ride bicycles. He enjoyed collecting trains and coins. Edward was an avid stock trader and student of the market.

Edward will be deeply missed by his brother, Lawrence (Patricia) McQuillan; sister, Joyce (Timothy) Nye; nieces, Shannon (William) Walker and Kelly (Eric) Sutherland; nephew, Brian (Stephanie) Nye; nephews, Sean (Deborah) Ring, Christopher (Morgan) Ring and Kevin Ring; niece, Meghan (Devin Hickman) Ring; nephew, Ryan (Molly) McQuillan; and 13 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ellen Ring Adler.

Friends may call 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025, at Our Lady Help Christian Parish Catholic Church, 60 High St., Seville, OH 44273. Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Edward-McQuillan with the Rev. Father Edward Suszynski officiating.

Burial will follow in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with military honors.
