Edward A. Gould 1939-2025

DEERFIELD — Edward A. Gould, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025, at his residence.
Born March 23, 1939, Edward was the son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Delmark Gould and was a lifelong resident of the area.
He graduated from The Rayen High School in 1957 and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Edward worked as a truck driver for East and West Trucking Company, from where he eventually retired.
He was a 32-year member of American Legion Post 290 in Columbiana and a former member and secretary of the Beaver Township Ruritan Club. A passionate bowler, Edward was part of Amron Bowling Senior’s League and proudly bowled a perfect game in 2004. He also enjoyed golfing and was a regular participant in the Columbiana Senior Golf Scramble.
Edward shared many wonderful years with his loving companion, Arlene Murphy. Together, they loved antiquing, traveling — especially on their many trips out West — and spending time working on antique furniture projects. He had a particular talent for restoring them to their original beauty.
Ed will be remembered for his warmth, humor and kindness, and for the lasting impact he made on family, friends and community.
He is survived by his son, Vincent (Sue) Gould of North Lima; his daughter, Lynn Gould of Marshall, Michigan; his grandchildren, Whitney, Ryan, Kyle and Ava; and one great-granddaughter, Estelle.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Gould.
Family and friends may call 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025, at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m.
