Barbara A. Genco 1939-2025

Born in Youngstown, Barbara graduated from South High School and worked at Metal Carbides. After the plant closed, Barbara relocated to Las Vegas to be near her beloved sisters. Barb worked at Canyon Ranch Spa in the Venetian Hotel for many years before relocating back to Youngstown.

An avid golfer, Barb also enjoyed her card club, bowling, cooking and baking, and her Holy Family Church friends. Her final years were spent enjoying life with her friends and family.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Pietro and Rose Pitroni Genco; her brother, Leonard (Nancy) Genco; and her dear sisters, Pauline Mahan, Sundrean Kane, Rosemary Carkido and Louise Davis; and nephews, Peter Feist, Keith Genco and Samuel Weitzman; and longtime companion, Pete Pichitino.

Left with wonderful memories are Barb’s many nieces, nephews and god daughter.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Valley for making Barb’s last days comfortable and peaceful.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at Holy Family Church, 2729 Center Road, Poland.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman.
