Willie N. Wileman 1948-2025
YOUNGSTOWN — Willie N. Wileman, 77, passed away at his home, Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025.
He was born Jan. 10, 1948, in Elkins, W.Va., a son of the late Willie T. and Lissie Frances Workman Wileman.
Willie attended Randolph County Schools. He moved to Youngstown in 1980 to continue his employment at the Youngstown Steel Door, where he worked for 15 years until it closed. He also was employed at Struthers Metal for 15 years.
He was a die-hard Steelers and Yankees fan. He enjoyed a friendly $5 bet with his daughter when his Yankees were lucky enough to go to the World Series with the Dodgers. Willie enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, ramp digging in his early years, and ginsenging. He especially loved spending time with his family, attending many school functions and sports for his grandchildren. He attended New Life Church in Poland.
Willie is survived by his wife, Wanda L. Wiseman, whom he married Jan. 24, 1970; seven children, one daughter, Frances (Steve) Higgins of Boardman; and six sons, Jason (Jayme) Wileman of Austintown, Willie T. (Star) Wileman of Austintown, Eugene Martin of Youngstown, David (Sherry) Martin of Austintown, Johnny Martin of Youngstown, Denver (Desiree) Martin of Columbiana; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one-great-great-grandchild; two brothers, January (Allison) Wileman of West Virginia and Isaac (Leslie) Wileman of West Virginia; and a brother-in-law, Homer Wiseman of Elkins, W.Va.; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Martin of Mill Creek, W.Va.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert C Martin; a great-grandson, Michael Johns; a sister, Frances Wiseman; and a brother, Wayman T Wileman.
Family and friends may pay their respects 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
Funeral services for Willie will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at the funeral home.
