Theresa A. Rodgers 1934-2025
AUSTINTOWN — Theresa Alice Rodgers, 91, formerly of Girard, died at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, at Briarfield Manor.
She was born May 18, 1934, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Robert and Hazel D. Christmas Rodgers.
She was a graduate of Girard High School and was a sketch artist for the advertising department of McKelvey’s Department Store.
She is survived by her son, Michael P. Rodgers, and a granddaughter, Theresa Alice Rodgers.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny, Eddie, Joe and Jimmy Rodgers; and two sisters, June Newell and Mary Garrett.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, at Girard Liberty Union Cemetery, with Chaplain Paul Iden officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
Her nephew and niece would like to thank the doctors, staff and management of Briarfield Manor for all the love and care they extended to Theresa. A very special thanks is extended to Lana for her extra-special, personal love shown during Theresa’s stay, as well as her case manager, Lenore.
