Stephen J. Senvisky 1939-2025
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Stephen J. “Babe” Senvisky, 86, formerly of Forest Hill Drive in Austintown, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, surrounded by his loving family.
Steve was born June 10, 1939, the son of the late Mary and Stephen Senvisky.
He was blessed with 59 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Bernice, and together they built a life rooted in faith, love and devotion — serving as an enduring example to their family and friends.
For most of their lives, Steve and Bernice made their home in Youngstown, where they raised their three children and were longtime members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Austintown. Steve was deeply involved in parish life — serving in the men’s club, participating in Christ Renews His Parish, acting as an adult server for Mass, and working countless spaghetti dinners and fundraisers for more than 50 years. His faith and dedication to the parish community were a central part of his life.
Steve worked for Wonder Bread and Hostess Cakes for 36 years, where he built lasting friendships and a reputation for hard work and loyalty.
After retirement, he enjoyed golfing, bowling and walking his dog, Jimmy, through Mill Creek Park. He especially loved the outdoors, where he spent countless hours feeding and watching the birds, squirrels and deer.
Above all, his greatest joy came from time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His life was filled with devotion to family, laughter and a sense of humor that he carried with him until his final days.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice; his children, Chris (Kristen) Senvisky, Sandy (Bob) Maluso and Steve (Lauren) Senvisky; his cherished grandchildren, Isabella, Evan, Sydney (Will), Ethan, Graham, Elyssa (Sean), Alec (Kristen), Zach (Alyssa), Mackenzie and Griffin; great-grandchildren, Harper and Rose; his loving siblings, Robert Senvisky, Larry (Lori) Senvisky and Marian Kishton; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Even as his family grieves his passing, they take comfort in his gentle spirit, his humor and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville, North Carolina.
The family will receive friends at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Austintown, Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, North Carolina, or a charity of your choice in his name.
The Senvisky family is under the care of Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.KepnerFH.com.
