Shirley A. Schneider 1949-2025

Shirley was born May 31, 1949, in Youngstown. She was raised by her grandparents, Samuel and Olive Dunmire, who loved her unconditionally. She graduated from South High School in 1966.

She found joy in the simple things, including her love for butterflies, and memorable moments spent roller skating.

Shirley married the love of her life, George Schneider, in August 1974. Together for almost 51 years, they created a beautiful family, lasting memories and a bond that will never be forgotten.

She worked at Delphi Electric for 38 years until her retirement.

Shirley was known for her unwavering love for her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, George; daughter, Heather (James) McGarry; daughter-in-law, Angie Manly Schneider; son, David Schneider; and sisters, Beverly Purdue and Susan Oliver.

She also leaves behind a proud lineage of seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, with two more on the way.

Shirley was preceded in death by her grandparents, Samuel and Olive Dunmire; her cherished son, Shane Schneider; her sister, Karen Logue; and her brother, Ray Dunmire.

Arrangements are entrusted to Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel.
