Shirley A. McCullough 1945-2025

YOUNGSTOWN — Shirley Ann McCullough, 80, of 348 Marmion Ave., Youngstown, departed this life at 10:06 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, at Hospice House, following complications from an extended illness.
She was born May 23, 1945, in Youngstown, the daughter of Henry and Lela Adams Wylie, residing in the area for 10 years, coming from Raleigh, North Carolina.
Shirley was employed with Boardman Nursing Home for eight years as a laundress before retiring in 2011. She enjoyed playing bingo, music, dancing and reading her Bible.
She leaves to mourn, four sons, Garry McCullough of Youngstown, Derrick (Valerie) McCullough of Apex, North Carolina, Shawn L. (Barb) McCullough of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Darwin McCullough of Youngstown; three brothers, Henry Wylie, Richard (Laura) Wylie and Clifford (Tonya) Wylie, all of Youngstown; two sisters, Ms. Judy Smith of Youngstown and Ms. Beverly Jones of Louisville, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Larry Wylie and Michael Wylie. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Youngstown Funeral Chapel, with calling hours from 11 a.m. to noon.
Burial will take place in Tod Homestead Cemetery.
Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Youngstown Funeral Home.
