Ronald G. Seman 1941-2025

NEW MIDDLETOWN — Ronald G. Seman, 84, peacefully passed away Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025, at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center.

Ron was born Feb. 13, 1941, in Youngstown, to the late George Seman and Ann Dudick Seman. He attended Ursuline High School, graduating class of 1959.

Ron married the love of his life, Joanne P. Biastro, in May 1967. They spent 50 loving years together, raising a beautiful family, traveling and going to casinos. On their trips to different casinos, they would simply say they were “going for a ride.”

Ron worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube, where he spent most of his time as a crane operator. Eventually, he retired early from LTV Steel.

Later in life, Ron began working for the Austintown Parks Department, where he eventually retired.

Ron enjoyed fishing, gardening and partaking in the projected weather forecast for that day. He also enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns.

Ron leaves behind two loving daughters, Christine (Dr. Michael) Haggerty and Kimberly (Robert) Toth. He leaves behind a brother, Jerome (Marylynn Bailey) Seman. There are also five grandchildren who will forever miss their “Poppy,” Dr. Patrick (Stephanie) Haggerty, Kacey Haggerty, Mia Haggerty, Robert Toth and Allison Toth. Ron also had several granddogs he shared many loving times with, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Joanne.

Though Joanne and Ron are together again, their presence will be deeply missed by their daughters and grandchildren.

Family and friends may call 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, at St. Blaise Parish-Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, OH 44515.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
