Regina R. Saia 1925-2025

CANFIELD — Regina Rosa Saia, 99, passed away peacefully at home, Friday, Aug. 5, 2025, of natural causes.
She was born Nov. 3, 1925, in Youngstown, to the late Carmine and Solina Sally Saia, and lived most of her life in the Briar Hill area.
Regina was known for her warm spirit, her love of simple joys and the deep connections she formed with those around her.
In her later years, she made her home in Canfield, where she was surrounded by love and care. She shared her home with her devoted caregivers, Lori and Deb, and her dear friend, Carmella, who became like family to her.
Though retired, Regina enjoyed attending the No Limits Day Program, where she formed close friendships with fellow participants and was cared for by an exceptional team of staff who brought joy to her daily life. She received support through Turning Point Residential for many years and cherished the visits from Joe, her guardian, and Heather, one of her favorite friends.
Regina had a true zest for life. She found joy in watching “I Love Lucy” and “The Andy Griffith Show,” especially the character, Barney, and loved the excitement of trips to the casino.
A talented cross-stitcher, Regina was often seen working on her projects, relaxing outdoors with her favorite 1950s music playing or enjoying her regular nail appointments — a treat she always looked forward to.
Regina touched many lives with her kindness and quiet strength. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Pat.
A celebration of life will be held in her honor Nov. 3, 2025, at the No Limits Day Program, which would have been her 100th birthday.
