Ralph Fabrizio Jr. 1949-2025

NEW MIDDLETOWN — Ralph Fabrizio Jr., 76, passed away peacefully, Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025, at Caprice Health Care Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Ralph was born April 8, 1949, in Youngstown, a son of Ralph Sr. and Ann Meredith Fabrizio. He graduated from Chaney High School in 1967, attended Youngstown State University and later earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Arizona State University.
Ralph began his teaching career at Baseline Christian School in Arizona before returning to Youngstown in 1976. He taught at Calvary Christian School and then for the Youngstown City Schools, where he dedicated 31 years of service before retiring. Ralph also coached junior high girls’ basketball and refereed volleyball and basketball within the school district. After retirement, he continued to serve the community as a courier for Northside Hospital in Youngstown.
A devoted member of New Springfield Church of God, Ralph was active in many aspects of church life, including playing on the church baseball team. He was also a passionate golfer and proudly served as a caddie for both the PGA and LPGA. During his teaching years, Ralph was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Youngstown and played a significant role in organizing the annual children’s Christmas party.
Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Debra S. Yost Fabrizio, whom he married Dec. 20, 1975. He also leaves behind three cherished daughters, Faith R. (Tom) Dailey and Laura A. (Brian) Myers, both of New Middletown, and Holly A. (Alex) Koehler of Columbus; six grandchildren, who brought him immense joy, Thomas George, Bo Dailey, Sara Dailey, Jameson Myers, Evelyn Koehler and Luca Koehler; and three sisters, Patricia Prudoff of New Middletown, Rose (Bern) Leapaldt of Chaska, Minnesota, and Sandra Neubecker of New Middletown. He is also survived by his in-laws, Jim and Katheryn Staudacher of Poland; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Mason of McKinney, Texas.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Ed Neubecker and Robert Yost, and sister-in-law, Barbara Yost.
Family and friends may call 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland.
A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor Duane Bull.
To honor Ralph’s lifelong love for golf, the family invites guests to wear a golf shirt to the service.
